My first time coming into a big port alone. And not just any port, Barcelona. It’s amazing to sail into the heart of a city. You step out of your little floating home to walk around the city streets and shake out your sea legs. And then you get back into your vessel and continue on your journey which led us to anchor at the foot of Tarragona. Me and Bix were met by throngs of people celebrating Santa Tecla where we witnessed the art of building human pyramids.

Winded Voyage Sailing
An older dude who feels 30 sails the world on a small yacht and tells his live large adventures. Follow him from the beginning when he looks for a sailboat and buys it. Earns his Swiss offshore sailing license and refits his boat. Then sails alone from the south of France along the Spanish coast to Tangiers Morocco. On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.
