It would be a difficult challenge, but I met the man who is up for this challenge. Gerard, a South African captain delivering a 40ft catamaran with a two member crew from the Canary Islands to the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean. We met at the Dakar Yacht Club and had a chance to talk over many beers.

When hauling out your boat here, you set it on a cart in the water and tie it to the cart. A big old winch and cable then pull the cart and boat onto the beach while you are aboard. Not recommended for tight asses.
