We are back in time for May Day celebrations. Back in Mindelo! But the police have shut down beaches to keep crowds from gathering for barbecues and have s and restaurants must close at 9PM. So the parties come to our boats. But during the week, it’s all work. we haul out Peter’s new boat and search for supplies. As well as taking care of some repairs on Galopin. Sailing Galopin in Cabo Verde Africa.

Earns his Swiss offshore sailing license and refits his boat. Then sails alone from the south of France along the Spanish coast to Tangiers Morocco. On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.
