The boats owner asked me to bring diesel to the troubled cruiser out at sea. So I put the steering column back together so I could operate the engine and autopilot. The fishermen who had rented the boat got caught in a low pressure system and drifted further away than planned. They communicated with the boat’s owner that were running low on fuel. The boat’s owner, a good friend of mine asked for my help. No one else was available. So yeah, I set off with about five hundred liters of fuel on my handicapped Galopin to rescue a drifting motor boat.
