I’ve been to this anchorage many times before. And it’s usually a pretty laid back spot. But the past few days were different. Because of the incoming swell. It’s a shallow bay and the waves can break at any moment it seems. I did not feel so safe here with Galopin. It was getting dangerous here. The swell was coming into the bay at an alarming force. You can see the waves breaking nearby. There is dangerous high ground there where boats have met their fateful end. It was best to head out into the open ocean now.

Winded Voyage Sailing
An older dude who feels 30 sails the world on a small yacht and tells his live large adventures. Follow him from the beginning when he looks for a sailboat and buys it. Earns his Swiss offshore sailing license and refits his boat. Then sails alone from the south of France along the Spanish coast to Tangiers Morocco. On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.
