This feels like the real beginning of the journey South. We motor to Buffalo, New York where we have serious issues checking into the US. In Tonnawanda we officially enter the Erie Canal. We enjoy a stroll through Lockport before going through the locks. Middleport welcomes us to what life on the canal really is.
