We kicked off the winter build series with one of the worst projects you could do on a boat, fixing the holding tank and bathroom plumbing ; ) but as usual it turned out to be really fun and will make a world of difference aboard Penelope. There’s something special about making small improvements to tiny living spaces because you get to appreciate them every day thereafter. The original problem with our system was a terrible smell coming through some of the hoses and pumps, and of course a leaking Y valve which is something you never really want to happen. We won’t be able to test the system for leaks until we go back into the water, but it should be rock solid, fingers crossed!
