Hey, my name is Nike and I bought an aluminum 37 foot sailboat in Panama in 2013 that I named KARL. I spent a good year refitting it, mostly by myself and with the help of awesome friends, and then (mostly) solo sailed my sailboat around the western Caribbean.
In 2016, I crossed the Panama Canal, had a major engine break down, a near sinking experience and a serious foot injury which got me stuck along the Pacific coast of Central and South America.
In this Episode, the empowerment of my sailboat Karl continues. After installing 3×100 amp/h Dakota Lithium batteries, I am now installing two Xantrex interferes: one is 2000W @220V and the other one is 2000W @110V. Looking forward to run whatever tool comes to my mind in the future on those!
Ohhhh, and one more nifty gadget is installed: a battery monitor. I did not have one before and I am totally captivated by this little device and spend way too much time in front of its screen, hehehe.
I split the installation of my new power system on my sailboat Karl in three parts. This is the second part in which I install my new Xantrex Inverters and battery monitor. The first part dealt with the installation of my new lithium batteries and part three will show the installation of my four new xantrex solar panels (each 100W)
