Thank you to everybody who has supported the creation of these video and has shared this journey with my sailboat Karl and me so far. It would not have been the same without you.

This episode was filmed in 08 / 2020.

Hey, my name is Nike and I bought an aluminum 37 foot sailboat in Panama in 2013 that I named KARL. I spent a good year refitting it, mostly by myself and with the help of awesome friends, and then (mostly) solo sailed my sailboat around the western Caribbean.

In 2016, I crossed the Panama Canal, had a major engine break down, a near sinking experience and a serious foot injury which got me stuck along the Pacific coast of Central and South America.

In this Episode, We explore a small little island close to Isla Cassaya in the Las Perlas archipelago. We think we have found the garden of eden, the island is packed with edible fruit and beautiful plants. We even find a little natural spa hidden in the bushes.

We collect a bunch of mangoes and My friend Paul shows you how he processes and ferments these yummy fruit into some delicious mango wine. Especially during lock down and prohibition here in Panama, this is a nifty little thing to know.

But that’s not all: at the end of the episode, there is a little feature about Paul and his sailboat Hierbabuena, so make sure you stay tuned until the very end.

More about Paul’s adventures on his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3BaWfWlRvSwMbZw17sQBow

Thanks for watching!

Enjoy & Ahoy,
Nike & Karl
