Circumnavigating The Golfo Dulce - UNTIE THE LINES III #45
You might remember Manny from one of the earlier San Blas charter episodes on Sail Joana. After booking a charter on Maria’s sailboat Joana in June 2017, he had asked me if he could come and visit me on Karl one day. And here he is! Manny jumped on board in Golfito (Costa Rica) in the Golfo Dulce and since he only had a couple of days of vacation, we decided to make little baby jumps around the Golfo Dulce and explore the area a little bit.
It was his first time on a small sailing vessel and he took it all in. It was inspiring to see how much he enjoyed it all and how he dove into the freedom and tranquility of this salty lifestyle.

Hi, my name is Nike. With my videos I would like to inspire others to grab hold of their dreams and make them reality. I have always been drawn to the ocean and fascinated by the humbling experience of living close to nature. I had a faint idea that I was made for another lofe than the one that the people around me expected me to live. One day, I dared to follow this instinct and bought a neglected sailboat in Panama that I named KARL. My life turned into a wild rollercoaster of challenges that pushed me way beyond my comfort zone and moments of unknown bliss and inner peace. Over the past years, I had to learn many new skills and tunred my old silboat into a once again sea worthy vessel.
