WE tour around the BIG Island of Hawaii in 3 days and jam it full of adventures. It’s been a month since we have set foot on land after crossing the Pacific Ocean, so for the following 3 days we make it our mission to do as much as possible on the Big Island Hawaii.
First stop was to visit the Pu’uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historical Park or City of Refuge. Learn a little about the history of the Hawaiian Islands.
Then right next door we get in the water for the first time since leaving Mexico! And the water is fantastic! WE snorkel with the beautiful tropical fish of Hawaii and even get an up close and personal visit with the local spinner dolphins.
WE hike a beautiful trail down to the Captain Cook’s memorial, and then the adventures continue as we drive around the entire island, crossing through 8 of the 13 world climate zones all on one little BIG island. Followed by our final hike into the Waimea Valley. WE made sure to utilize our legs as much as possible.
