Trinidad Yacht Life: Navigating Geopolitical Tension while Upgrading Our Sailboat
Despite the backdrop of geopolitical tension, boat life goes on with the continuing construction of our custom carbon fiber yacht tables. Now that they've been painted with gel coat, it's time for me to get sanding, shaping the gel coat. As always though, nothing on a sailing boat is simple and there are a few hurdles along the way. It's just another step in our catamaran's onging yacht repairs and upgrade journey.
We are currently in Trinidad, a unique vantage point to observe the ongoing geopolitical tension between the United States, Venezuela, and Trinidad. From up our mast we can actually see Venezuela, so it's much closer than many around the world may realise. In recent times there have been joint exercises between Trinidad and the US, with helicopters even flying over our sailing home.
