Tristan Jones had previously visited Romania under communist rule. In this episode, her arrives shortly after the 1989 revolution that deposed Romania’s communist dictator, Nicolae Ceaușescu, foreshadowing the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War. His sailing fans appointed him the Commodore of the ] Yacht Club in the ancient city of Constanta. (D2Z)
