The SailingChannel a l’honneur d’offrir le film de Yves Gélinas Jean-du-Sud autour du monde, deux fois Palme d’Or au Festival du Film de Voile de La Rochelle (pour la première partie en 1983 et la seconde en 1985) et de 8 prix dans d’autres festivals. L’ex-comédien et cinéaste raconte son tour du monde de 28 000 milles via les quarantièmes rugissants et le cap Horn à bord de son sloop de 30 pieds. Tourné en 16mm avec son synchrone, le film donne vie aux paroles de la chanson de Gilles Vigneault qui a inspiré le nom du bateau: (Quand Jean-du-Sud nous contait ses voyages) On avait l’impression d’êt’ses mat’lotsBienvenue à bord!
