TheCrewChef prepares an impressive Yacht Lunch Challenge on their luxurious vessel in Fort Lauderdale to showcase their skills and impress 12 top luxury brokers. This sophisticated event involves careful planning and meticulous preparation of a delectable menu featuring local ingredients that suit the weather and predominantly female guest list.
Menu and Preparation
In anticipation of the event, Chef organizes a variety of dishes, starting with salads for starters, followed by locally caught mahi-mahi for the main course. The side dish features orange roasted beets topped with Greek yogurt and Australian goat cheese – a delightful blend that complements the local taste. The exquisite dessert is a vanilla tart.
Shopping and Set Up
Chef and his team make an essential provisioning trip to Whole Foods for fresh produce, dry goods, and seafood. At Finston Murphy’s, they source the fish needed for the meal.

Chef focuses on assembling and finishing his dessert – a scrumptious vanilla tart. He also peels shrimp purchased from Whole Foods, keeping the tail skins for presentation purposes.

The lunch event is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. Chef takes special care with plating and arranging, even adding a cream cheese adhesive for the desserts on plates.
