The Iridium Go is our connection to the world and weather when we’re sailing offshore. During our pre-departure preps we discovered that the lithium battery had ruptured. The company where we bought it said that is very unusual, but the really unusual part is that the Iridium Go is connected to the ship’s power and fires up without a battery. However, it won’t connect without the battery which seems like a really bad design flaw IMHO.
We also tackle the side shade project and make a quick trip to the dermatologist to investigate a strange spot on Megan’s shoulder. And Nick shares his meteorologist insights into planning a trip around the infamous Cape Hatteras.
