Episode 17.
Sailing Elba to Portofino via Portovenere.
Firstly guys we have to apologise for the quality of our latest vids. The problem is we have a 1080p camera but somehow it seems we have only been recording in 720p. Unfortunately we didn’t notice this for months as we are so far behind but they do get better soon. Promise.
Secondly, it’s such a shame but I (Dave) crashed our drone into the mast in Sardinia and it ended up in lots of small pieces. That’s why we have had no drone footage since then. Unfortunately, replacing it is not an expense we could afford while trying to live the dream!
We LOVE Italy!!!
Nathan and I have always been getting into trouble so it’s no surprise when he visits we get lost tracking up a mountain in Elba. Luckily all ended well tho.
We had a one night stop over in Portovenere which we thought was one of the Cinque Terre but turns out it isn’t but is equally as stunning and well worth a visit to the Castello and may e some breakfast in a cafe.
Portofino is one of Hayley’s top 5 destinations in the world. It lives up to every expectation, it’s super romantic, friendly and surprisingly not as expensive as other places we have visited. Since the 50’s celebrities, royals and dreamers like us have all spent their holidays there.
We sadly say goodbye to our besties this week but head off to Monaco next to catch up with some of our Dubai crew at the Super Yacht Show.
