Welcome back aboard. This week we’re sailing from Grenada to Trinidad in the south Caribbean. A passage that takes us close to the coast of Venezuela, just a few miles across the water.
This voyage isn’t so much about open ocean miles or new anchorages, it’s about transition. and letting go.
Our sons, Declan and Ivan, are about to embark on their own journey, flying out of Trinidad to crew a super yacht delivery from Rhode Island to Antigua, stepping into the next chapter of their lives and careers.
We’ve been incredibly fortunate to live, work and sail alongside them for so long, more than lucky, really. And while we’re sad to see them go, we’re overwhelmingly proud of the young men they’ve become.
