San Diego Mud Caves 2012
Throwback Thursday Older Video from 2012
This is the first time that Melissa and I went to the Anza Borrego Mud Caves (Arroyo Tapaido). We begin hiking the slot canyons before we venture into the mud caves.
On our approach to the mud caves, we see a Black Widow spider eating a baby Desert Shovel Nosed Snake (I think). I think the snake fell out of a hole above the spiders web and got ensnared.
We continue our adventure into the mud caves and literally have to get on our bellies to slide through some of the tighter spots. Not for the faint of heart.
Since this video we have been to the mud caves many times. There are over 22 caves and 9 slot canyons to explore. Get out there! It’s awesome!
