First horned lizard sighting of 2026 š¦š„
We spotted this incredible Horned Lizard right here in Escondido, California ā perfectly camouflaged and absolutely prehistoric looking. Nature never disappoints. The detail, the armor, the patienceā¦ these little desert dragons are something special.
Seeing our first one of the year is always a reminder of how wild Southern California still is if you slow down and look closely.
