Our Story Begins, The Adventure Travelers - Episode 1
March 28, 2018 by The Adventure Travelers | Language: EN Play Time: 00:12:03 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

Want to go on a sailing adventure? Michael and Melissa (The Adventure Travelers) planned for over ten years and finally made the leap. They sold their house and moved into rental (three years prior to leaving), they sold one of their cars, sold most of their “junk” that they had accumulated, and saved every penny they could, so they could sail to Mexico and the South Pacific.

In this episode, they show some of the steps they took in order to make their dream a reality.
Michael and Melissa met over 13 years ago, fell in love, and blended their families together. Knowing they were going on an epic sailing journey, they took sailing lessons and traveled the world whenever they could, to gain experience.
For over a decade they sailed when they could, taking friends and family out on San Diego Bay. After their children graduated from high school and were happily in college for a year or so, Michael and Melissa went “all-in” and purchased a 37′ Island Packet Yacht.
The Adventure Travelers dialed in their new boat, doing a shakedown cruise to Catalina Island, and hired their sailing instructor to co-Captain a cruise down to Ensenada, Mexico to show them the ropes of checking into a foreign port.
Subscribe now and join us each week as we venture through Baja, Mexico, the Sea of Cortez, sailing along with mainland Mexico and eventually sailing across the Pacific Ocean to Nuku Hiva, Marquesas, the Tuamotus, French Polynesia, and Hawaii.
