Hiking Mesa Verde National Park
December 09, 2019 by The Adventure Travelers | Language: EN Play Time: 00:07:18 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

In this episode (Episode 4) of our Southwestern RV Road Trip, we continue our trip to Colorado visit Mesa Verde National Park. We begin with a hike up Mesa Verde and then venture off to see the amazing cliff dwellings of the early Pueblo people. We use the Alltrails app to find “hiking trails near me” if we are looking for local hiking trails we haven’t already scoped out before. We are the only two people hiking on these trails because of our “off-season” approach to RV camping and hiking.
Take a guided tour through Mesa Verde National Park’s cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Pueblo people who lived here from AD 600 to 1300.
We take a Park Ranger guided tour of Mesa Verde’s Cliff Palace, which is the largest of the cliff dwellings and has the most kivas which were used during ceremonial times.
We use Campendium to find our RV boondocking (dry camping) campsite and stay a few more nights for free once again. I also used Campendium as our road trip organizer to find the best places along the way for our amazing Southwestern RV Road Trip.

Scary worms in our drinking water. This is why you boil your water when in the backcountry #hiking
I always check the water before you put it in your drinking container. These horse hair worms were in the water and they looked freaky. Always boil your water to get rid of all contaminants when in the back country. #hiking #hike #cave
