Baby horned lizards may be cute and adorable, but they also possess some impressive survival skills. During a recent hike, The Adventure Travelers stumbled upon a tiny horned lizard that showcased its incredible ability to blend in with its surroundings.

While out on a hike with their son’s dog, Melissa and her family nearly stepped on the tiny horned lizard. If not for her quick reflexes, they would have missed this incredible sighting.
Blending In: The Art of Survival
Once the Adventure Travelers realized what they had nearly stepped on, they took a moment to observe the little lizard’s amazing camouflage skills. With its scales and coloring perfectly suited to blend in with the rocky terrain, this baby horned lizard was nearly invisible.
