Today the bolts was unscrewed from the insert nuts. It went very easy.My worry had not been needed.
Today I unscruwed the bolts from the insert nuts.
It was the first time I was using Teflon spray. Previus for many years I have been useing Teflon tejp.
Teflon tejp works well but it is tricky to get it right especially like here with long threads and a sleeve.
With spray no need to worry that the tejp will get undone.
The first 3 hatches are now in place with not much adjustment.
It feels very good to have such strong hatches. It gives me a sense of beuty. That is one reason I build my own boats. I can do things better than just what is needed.
One gets a feeling that anything, any storm or calamity can strike and me not worry.

Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980.
