Today back from Lammhults Gjuteri, the foundry, not much done, but a start of a few.
Curius about my new destination, Isla Chiloe I ordered a chart from my The Admiralty catalog that I got for the millenium 2000. Seams that time has passed and changed have been made in the elapsed time.
The chart number was OK but it was from a place in Indonesia. i think it would have been fair of them to inform their customer of the change.
However a new chart, not so detailed will be ordered.
I have also begun on the sliding hatches in the dining room.
One side of them is against the hull so they kind of taper. I have to do them from the most narrow end. Only 15 cm was lest of the opening. A surprise. All is not lost. I will divide into two parts.
Also last but not least, work on the modell. The weight of twin keels and an error of my part neccesites killing a darling and revive an old one.
To explain better more work on the model have to be done.
I am learning all the time. Each iteration makes Exlex a better boat. I have great hopes for her.

Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980.
