The new drouge/anchor system with a tail through a hawse pipe in the sern. A bettering.

It is also about the idea of achoring from the stern
At about 1 min 20 sekund you can see a boat sneaking about. The boats at anchor do that all the time.
It puts their broadside to the wind increasing the resistance and creating more drag on the anchor. In strong winds it can cause much damage.
But it is not only in harbor this aft hawse pipe shines but also when riding out strong winds when you like to slow down.
The Jordan drouge is a good thing once it is safely in the water but when you have to get back onboard it is not easy cause all the cones get tangled in the winch.
My rope have no cones. The idea is the square/ cube law. Surfaces increase with the square of the scale displacement increases with the cube of the scale.
Scale up by a factor of two the surfaces gets 4 times bigger the displacement 8 times bigger.
Spiders can ballon. The climb a small hill small for humans big for ants, spin out a thread air pics up the thread. The ant spin more and after a while the let go and starts balloning.
Square/cube law prevents human from that fun.
So a small boat with a long rope will get slowed down in strong following winds.
200 meter 8 mm rope do have a surface of 5 square meter add 20 meter 6 mm chain at the end to make it sink and create more drag.
Sea trials will show how well it works.
It is simple. It can all be done from inside with the haches closed. a drum winch make retriving and stoving the rope/chain easy.
