Hi here I have glued a piece of composite to a piece of composite with NM-elastic epoxy.
Progressivly I load it with 14 kilo weights untill it is thirteen weights hanging or 182 kilo a keel is 150 kilo. The glued area is 10 X 3 centimeter.
The area of flange on the keel is 3 X two lenghts 150 cm or 300 centimeter times 3 centimeter that is safety factor of 30 times in addition to that there will be 50 screws trough 10 mm epoxy laminate + Divinycell each holding 250 kilo about.Tthat is an adittion of 12 500 kilo or 12 500 + (182X30 ) 5 460 = 18 000 holding force weight 150 or
120 times the strenght needed.
To me a factor of safety of 120 is more than enough.
