Sidetracked. A new idea for the lockers lids have keept me working on that idea
Last might in those magical times between wakefulness and sleep I got a new idea for the lids to the lockers. The previus idea made use of 4 strings for each lid. 2 permanent for hinges and 2 to open and closeThe went up on the inside. Still I like to make things as simple as possible.
The new idea makes the fastning af the lids much stronger, it was strong enough before but if I can make someting stronger it pleases me. Nothing protudes on inside or outside and it is much quicker to operate.
Will it work?
The mock up will tell me already tomorrow is my hope.
The middle half bulkhead have to wait a bit.

Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980.
