Here is one more step on the construction of the strong points for the safety belts.
One commentator expressed the opinion that they were to high. For maximum safety that is true. But comfort have to be considered to if frequent use of them will be made.
It is different in a car. Drives do not last for several days but storms does. The first time my boat capsized there was not a very strong wind. Just an odd wave from the side. Quickly and with no fuss it overturned my little wessel.
Previus north of Scotland I had been in far worse weather.
Now I put on the belt when there is breaking waves. If the safety belt is to tight it is not comfortable to move around in the bed.
If I was preparing to go down the Niagara falls I would put the strong points lower down.
