More times spent for making things better.

I say more than two thierds of the time is spent on making the plans better. Among other things the main masts have been moved back 0.5 meters. This gives more space in the fore peak. It also gives more weather healm. Horses for courses. originally I had plan to sail eastwards to NZ. The new plan is doubbling Cape Horn east to west. Windward ability is now more important. I also plan to increase the skeg and rudder area.
The planned route is now much shorter about 3 000 miles compared to the Madera – NZ route 14 000 miles. 100 days versus 180 days. This gives much more space in the boat therefore I now plan to bring fruits, mainly grapefruits and apples that keep a long time. The space for the fruit will be in the bedroom near the masts.
When working with composite things take time to cure. The strategi is to have several areas where to work so that if epoxy cure in the saloon/sleeping room I can work in the dining room in the mean time. I am now starting on the saloon/sleeping room. To determine the heights of the sides I visited Exlex 2020. They were 24 cm high. I do not remember why I made them so low. Now they are increased by 10 cm plus the space below the mattras 20 cm where the 30 liter water and batteries lives.
