Now there are more pieces glued to the pattern for the bronze rudder. I have to hurry upp with it because I soon get a visit from the men of Lammhults Gjuteri, the foundry.
Also this night I got a new idea for how to open the forward deckhatch. It uses the same principle as the old idea of a sliding parallel ruler on a drafting board. We had such drafting boards at school in the 1950-s long before computers.
Its accuracy and simplicity impressed me. It moved the ruler to within a degree, smoth and nicely. Not that it is so important to mowe the hatch parallel but in adition to that it enables me to lift the hatch above the coaming. But more on that when Peter is back. He is in south Sweden listning to music.

Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980.
