G 11 epoxy laminate. To order I made a CB first mock up. Doing so I got a new Idea for the lines.
It was Ocean Capable Small Sailboat who mentioned G10 epoxy laminate. A few years ago a friend of mine Guy Lilljegren had mentioned it also. Being a slow thinker it often takes two or three times for something to starting my thinking. When Guy mentioned I could not find a supplier. Now to my surprise my supplier of Tufnol also had G10. They also had G 11. G11 has better mechanical properties but are not as good for elevated heat, a good bit over 100° Celsius. They were also selling more G11 so price was better.
No time like the present. I measured to place an order. As I did so I got an idea for a better way of running the controol lines.
Now I am making an mock up to see if it works not only in my mind.
The space in the for part of the boat is limited and I did not realise the hatch would take up so much space. The boat before had only a 9 mm turning piece of plywood.
Now I know that for the next boat.

Sven Yrvind
Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980.
