The hatch lid have to fit with close tolerances the rim or coaming but the labyrinth makes it difficult to scribe it. I like to have a margin of 4 mm that it does not get stuck. To make it I made a little device that will help me to scribe it.
Also the shops have due to corona run out of polystyrene that I use as a mould for the lip. I am gluing together a few smaller pieces to get one large enough.
