Here I with help of some pictures I tell how I learned seamanship on the island of Brännö outide Göteborg Sweden in the early 1940-s. During the war it was quite and the nights was dark. It was me my mother my grandmother and little sister. Just women although grand mother brother lived close by. Grand father and father was captains in the Swedish merchant navy. The English sunk the ship of my father they said it was good for the war. I saw him last time 15 January 1940 I was 8 months old. However the time on the island was wonderful. Before pollution, processed food and only 2 billion people in the world. The air and water was clean. But we did not have Youtube.
