The Process Behind Triangular Boat Corner Construction

According to Yrvind, building sturdy boat corners is crucial for maintaining a seaworthy vessel. To achieve the best results, he fills out each corner with multiple triangular wood pieces. But to make these custom-fit, he needs to create specific angle profiles.

Creating the Angle Profiles

To craft the ideal triangular pieces, Yrvind begins by constructing a simple tool. This device consists of two angled profiles that he attaches to a piece of wood. Next, he places this setup in a bandsaw, ensuring precise and consistent cuts.

The key to this method is the blade of the bandsaw. Yrvind emphasizes that the angle is always perfect, resulting in well-shaped triangular wood pieces.

Producing the Triangular Wood Pieces

In a matter of minutes, Yrvind’s tool effortlessly cuts through the wood, resulting in perfectly formed triangular pieces. He manages to create around 30 such pieces for this project.
