29 June 2024 7th day of glassfibre

Hello friends, this is episode 29, June 2024, marking the seventh day of my journey to construct a glass fiber boat. Today’s focus is on trying a new method that allows me to position the dry fibre very effectively and efficiently. The downside of using a dry method initially is that it may extend the wetting out time. However, I have strategically placed everything in such a way that the wetting process will still be quicker.

The Unique Dry Fibre Positioning

By placing the glass fiber dry on one side of the boat and applying it first, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the overall structure. Now, my plan is to follow this same process for the rear section too, ensuring all pieces are perfectly aligned. To add an extra layer of support, the back frame is reinforced with double the amount of glass fiber.

Progress So Far

We’re now at day seven of this construction process, and there’s still only two parts in the front that need to be addressed before moving on. I have plans to tackle these tasks tomorrow and I believe it will provide a smooth completion of the project.

Conclusion

Later than before, I’ve successfully completed the off part of today’s tasks. This progress is inline with my earlier estimates. With only one more segment to tackle tomorrow, we’re on track to finish this boat within eight days as initially planned.

The Final Step

Hello friends! It’s later than before, and we’ve successfully completed the off part of our task for today. Just as I mentioned earlier in this episode, there’s only one more section left to complete. We’re now on day seven of construction.

With persistence and determination, we aim to finish the boat by day eight, marking another successful project completion for us.

Until next time, goodbye friends!
