26 June 4th day glassfibre Port side done
Hello friends, this is Sven Yrvind, and now it’s day four on this, so far I’ve managed to complete one, and this one they’re not so big, so I did two in one day, and it’s still a bit difficult to do them but it’s getting better and better. So now half of all of the PCH side is done.
Day Four Progress: Glassfiber Yacht Construction Update
The next step is to turn the boat on the other side, and then do the same thing as before. Sven shares that he’s feeling stronger with each passing day and even added an innovative solution to his process – making it double in the middle for added support and stability.

Sven Yrvind
Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980.
