26 August 2022 Laminating the first mastholder.
I was apprehensive about the laminating of the first mastholder. There was several ways of doing it.
One idea was to have her horisontal and turn as I did laminate. Gravity would temporarily help.
An other way was to have her standing vertical. Gravity would then not help but rather hinder.
In the end the vertical position was chosen.
Everything went very easy, maybe to easy as I did see the glasfiber slovly sliding down.
The sliding down was very slowly and I think I stopped it by wrapping gassfibre at the top and be quick with the peel ply.
Now for the next one I have a better plan.

Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980.
