22 June 2022 Big and less big CB. Before and after a big change.
It was in January I think I decided on a big change to get rid of the solid hatches and the bow centerboard.
Painfull att the time but now a good thing. The canvas replacement was a good idea, the twin keels was a good idea and the reborn bow CB also was a good idea.
It is smaller but not much smaller but those changes made it far more easy to get into the for part of the boat.
However many changes have been made and a new design is in the plan and it is a good thing to have something to think about. But money is tight I have for one more year I hope. I will do some sailing, Chile and other places. Hopefully I then can start make more money for the next boat.
Again a will cut a hole in the boat I will make a CB mockup with moving board and get the dimensions and the shape right.

Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980.
