I keept you in suspension. To tell the truth I thought that I was going to do the real thing today but then I realised the bow was not strong enough. So instead I made a trial run just to show tha principle and I am at the same time reinforcing the bow near the deck with several layers of glassfibre as later when the textile fitting is in place it would not be possible.
The big advantage of the epoxy neadle is that its diameter is not bigger than the string. those the hole it is going to pass through do not need to be bigger than the string. Usually the eye of the needle with the string bent over double is much bigger than the hole it is going to pas through. This is not a problem sewing textile as they are flexible and will close after the needle have passed but here when I drill holes for the needle the hole do have to be bigger.
This idea I developed for the textile rubrail to be made out of webbing and Divinycell. That design is incorporate handholds for me swiming near the boat. Those handhlds will be strong enough to lift the boat and those good for mooring lines.
