It is important that the controll lines for the centerboard runs smothly and do not interfere with each other.
Normally a centerboard only have one control line relying on gravity to lower the board.
Exlex is however desinged for heavy weather, designed in such a way that a capsize will not intefere with normal life onboard.
When a centerboard boat capsizes the centerboard will come up with a mighty bang. Such a hard blow might wake the skipper from nice dreams, besides do great damage to the centerboard trunk.
To eliminate such woe I use a secound line to keep the centerboard down whatever the position Exlex may be in.
With this bonus I will try a new way of making textile fastener.
