The pattern for the bronze rudder looked very nice. Then I started to do some measurment. She was to narrow at the bottom for the 80 mm diameter of the axis. Also she was not symmetrical. That did not matter so much as a sailboat is only symmetrical in flat water doing no speed.
I decided to redo but I have to harry becouse the man from the foundry comes on Thursday.
Well I have worked hard today and I will go back late when the glue have set and do additional gluing.
Then I can shape her tomorrow an and do some fairing.

Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980.
