Today I got two barometers from Navinmordic. For many years I have ignored barometers thigking like a stoic, weather I cannot do anything about it anywhy often not having a barometer onboard.
However now a change of wiuv my intention is to try to predict it. I do not know it I will succeed but I will try even reading books about the single observer predictor.
Now here I have two barometers. Hopefully now I can get twice as much wheater as before. If that will make my boat go twice as fast is not known at the present. Time will tell.

Hi My name is Sven Yrvind. I design, build and cruise small boats. 1962 I left Sweden in 15 feet converted Blekingseka. I soon found out that there was room for improvement. To understand the basic I began to study mathematics and engenering. 1968 I sailed to England via many contries in a converted 13 feet rowing boat. People told me I be more happy on a bigger boat. November that year I found a wreck an old steam launch build 1885 I converted her to a staysail schooner and sailed her to Rio de Janeiro. That voyage advised me that a bigger boat do not bring happiness, happiness is an inside thing. I designed a 6 meter doubble ender built her in my mother basement. Tried to sail around Cape Horn with her but was capsized and pitchpoled. Later I built an 5.9 meter boat in her I rounded Cape Horn in the southern winter June 1980. I have continued to design, build, and cruise small boats often in high latitudes. Please support me on my donation button on my site yrvind.com
