In this episode, we take you through the journey of our 36 ft sailboat restoration project with an up-to-date timelapse—showing everything from rescuing her at sea to the beginning of her transformation into a brand-new vessel. We started this project during the pandemic, dubbing it our “COVID project.” This 1983 sailboat was completely stripped down to the hull, where we discovered a severe case of OSMOSIS.

With supply chains disrupted and long shipping delays, we faced a challenge when we lost the bid for one of the only gel planers available at the time on eBay. These expensive tools were difficult to find at an affordable price, so we decided to get creative. In this episode, we take on the challenge of building our own DIY Gel Planer—an essential tool for the job. Watch as we turn this setback into a hands-on solution!
