📍 Isla Coronado & Isla Danzante, Baja California Sur
🌊 Sea of Cortez, Mexico
Episode 75 delivered a little bit of everything and we're getting a bit real and vulnerable: a spicy four-hour day sail that had us working hard at the helm, a cabin full of thrown-around gear, and a hard setbacks that we’ve never faced before.
After weeks of searching for a replacement fridge, we thought we finally found a company with one in stock. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a total scam, leaving us out $2,000 and still without a working fridge. Sourcing parts in foreign countries is always a gamble, but this was a painful lesson.
To reset our minds, we set anchor in Honeymoon Cove on Isla Danzante. Surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters, dolphins, and desert ridge hikes, it was the exact perspective check we needed to move forward.
Warning: If you ever come across the site https://marineperformanceshop.com/ do NOT purchase anything from them. The site is still live and despite our repeated reports to government agencies it has not been removed.
