In Episode 76 of our Sea of Cortez sailing journey, we head into Agua Verde expecting a relaxing week of spearfishing and calm anchorage days. Instead, a wedged grouper leads to a snapped line, lost spearfishing gear, and a missing anchor and buoy.
Things take an even bigger turn when our boat dog Pinot gets sick, forcing us to abandon our plans and make an emergency 105-mile passage south to La Paz. Tackling heavy currents in the Isla San JosĂ© channel and a stressful night anchoring situation in BahĂa Falsa, we pull out all the stops to get Pinot safely to a vet in La Paz.
