[Ep 6] Our FIRST Anchorage & a Sea Lion Moves In: Welcome to Avila Beach, CA!
After a scary kickoff to our sailing adventure in Episode 5 we finally arrived in Avila Beach, CA and dropped anchor in a calm and peaceful anchorage. We spent the next 4 days soaking up the sun, frolicking around Avila Beach, hiking, enjoying the farmers market and 4th of July festivities, as well as getting up close and personal with some local wildlife. Join us as we explore Avila Beach and stay tuned for Episode 7 when we set sail for Santa Barbara and discover a HUGE problem on Cosmo.

SV Cosmo
Cosmo is a 2000 Dufour Center Cockpit sailboat. Supposedly there are only 15 of these models built in the world, which would make sense since we still haven’t found an owner’s manual or proper documentation from Dufour. She is a 43 foot vessel with 2 cabins, 2 heads, and we’ve beefed her up with so many upgrades and features since 2020 we’ll need to start a whole separate series on those projects.
