We finally made it to Bahía de los Ángeles… but our arrival didn’t exactly go as planned.
As we approached BLA, our water alarms in the v-berth bilge started going off and we quickly realized we had saltwater inside the boat.
What followed was a full teardown of our v-berth (aka our floating garage) as we tried to track down the source of the leak. At first, we were convinced it was coming from our underwater lights… but after some very “creative” testing methods, the real culprit turned out to be something else entirely.
After 3 weeks without provisioning, we also finally made it into town, restocked on essentials, and took a much-needed break from boat projects.
This is what boat life really looks like: a mix of incredible sailing, unexpected problems, and figuring things out as you go.
