[Ep 19] Tacos, Wine, & Checking Into Mexico By Boat | Ensenada, Mexico

In this episode, we officially check into Mexico by starting the paperwork process in Ensenada. We kick things off with Mexican boat insurance, then explore the colorful streets of this Baja port city discovering local seafood, a hidden wine tasting room, and loads of delicious tacos well off the tourist trail.
Guided by our marina, we complete our check-in with the INM (immigration) and Port Captain, making both us and the boat legal in Mexico. From there, we tackle a mountain of laundry, shop for fresh tortillas, and enjoy a tipsy afternoon at Santo Tomás Winery (Ensenada’s oldest vineyard).
With our boat fully provisioned and spirits high, we prepare to leave for our first big offshore passage to Bahía Tortugas… but as we soon discover, plans at sea don’t always go as expected.
