We were so close to losing everything…we will be stuck here until we repair the damage with whatever items we have on board.

WE ARE BACK FOLKS, and we are very apologetic that we have left you all hanging for the last five weeks…but if you’re reading this, we made it out alive. Finally, we can continue to showcase our trip over the top of Australia. Five weeks ago, we pulled into Lizard Island with our tiller held together with a fishing gaff and spare line. Upon adequately assessing the damage while safely anchored in beautiful Watsons Bay, we realised our tiller had rotted to the core and was holding on by its last thread. We got away pretty lucky to have made it here without further drama. We start throwing around ideas on how to repair the damage while offshore and miles away from a hardware store. Should we use a broom handle? Should we take our jerry boards off our bow? Or is Slim heading out to the forest with a hacksaw? You will just have to wait and see…we hope you enjoy this weeks episode and we can’t wait to get this show back on the road!
